The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 appears to be very similar to the SD 695 Plus.
Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and 4 Gen 1.
Last year Qualcomm launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and earlier this year they also revealed Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Processor. With this naming scheme Qualcomm now announced their Mid-budget and Low-Budget chipsets the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and 4 Gen 1.
The new chipsets will take place of Snapdragon 400 and 600 series processors and they also bring a few handy features and improvements in their respective tiers.
Here’s everything you should know about them
Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 is an octa-core processor and based on 4nm architecture. This chipset is more capable of the lot. This chipset claims 40% performance boost over Snapdragon 695. This SoC also comes with Adreno GPU that promises 35& better performance and couple of gaming features like variable rate shading junk reduction.
Qualcomm’s new SOC also brings an improved AI engine with a hexagon tensor accelerator and a claimed 3x increase to AI performance, as well as a Snapdragon X62 5G modem.
About Camera and Video features, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 offers single camera support up to 200MP (snapshot), 25+16 MP dual camera support and triple camera support up to 13MP. Other features like 4K video recording, which is an improvement over previous Snapdragon 695 processor.
Other notable specs include Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, Quick Charge 4+ support, and 120Hz at FHD+ display resolutions.

About the launch of this chipsets, Qualcomm says devices with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 are set to launch in Q1 2023. Recently, Motorola also confirmed they will release phone with this new SoC.
