EVGA exited GPU market due to Conflict with NVidia. Won’t release RTX 4000 Series

Barely a few weeks before the highly anticipated debut and eventual release of the GeForce RTX 4000 series, the US GPU manufacturer cites disrespectful behaviour on the part of NVidia as the cause for its decision to completely exit the graphics card business.

Gamers all around the world are impatiently anticipating the official announcement and subsequent release of NVidia’s next-generation GeForce RTX 4000 series of graphics cards after several difficult years of expensive desktop GPU costs. Prospective buyers of these next-generation GPUs will sadly only have one less respected AIB brand to pick from, despite the fact that these cards are reported to often provide some noticeable performance improvements.

In accordance with sources from jayztwocents and Tom’s Hardware, the California-based GPU manufacturer EVGA will instantly end its partnership with NVidia and won’t be able to develop any of the abovementioned RTX 4000 cards. The company justifies this extreme and rather unexpected choice with a number of business-related arguments. For instance, EVGA asserts that NVidia withheld crucial points, such as the actual MSRP and the eventual pricing of its most recent GPU chipsets, until after the official reveal.

Additionally, EVGA has voiced concerns over pricing caps and restricted customization possibilities, which make it more challenging to compete against NVidia’s first-party graphics cards that are branded as “Founders Edition” variants. EVGA told its current customers that it will continue to support current-gen GPUs and that any associated warranties will be respected, despite its decision not to carry the soon-to-be-released RTX 4000 series. In order to replace damaged graphics cards, the manufacturer has reportedly holding back a specific amount of graphics cards.

Finally yet importantly, EVGA declared that it would not work with AMD. This unfortunate development means that one of the most recognizable brands on the GPU market will indeed disappear entirely as GeForce RTX 4000 cards gradually replace their respective predecessors over the course of the next few years.
