WhatsApp always waits for adding new features. Because it waits for users’ good response to existing features and do a good study on market expectations.

The Unicode Consortium approved the Unicode 15 standard in the middle of September. There are 4,489 new characters in total, including 20 brand-new emoji (31, if you count every skin tone variation). After testing out WhatsApp beta ver., “WABetaInfo” observed that the messaging app is silently adding support for 21 of those Unicode 15 emoji.
